Bafat pork

 Ingredients

  • 1 kg pork, with fat
  • 3-4 large onions large cubes
  • 2-3 green chillies slit
  • 10-12 garlic pods
  • 2 inches ginger finely chopped
  • 2 inches cinnamon or cassia bark
  • 4 cloves
  • 20 crushed pepper corn
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2-3 tablespoons bafat powder
  • 2-3 teaspoons thick tamarind extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon red vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp haldi
  • salt to taste


  1. Mix and marinate for 1 hr
  2. Put in cooker for 1 whistle and then remove lid and continue to cook for 30 minutes
